Barbell Box Squat

A strength-focused squat variation where you lower your hips back and down to briefly sit on a box or bench before driving back up. With a barbell resting across your upper back, keep your chest up, core braced, and feet shoulder-width apart. Lightly tap the box without fully relaxing, then push through your heels to stand. This method improves squat depth awareness, builds explosive leg strength, and reinforces proper hip hinge and squat mechanics.
