Barbell Zercher Back Extension

A posterior-chain strength exercise performed with a barbell held in the crooks of the elbows (Zercher position) while the athlete is positioned on a back extension setup. The movement involves hinging at the hips and lowering the torso under control while maintaining a neutral spine and keeping the load close to the body. The athlete then extends the hips and back to return to a fully upright position, emphasizing controlled spinal stability and posterior chain engagement throughout the full range of motion.
