1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart holding a barbell in front of your thighs with an overhand grip. 2. Keep your chest up, back straight, and core engaged. 3. Pull the bar straight up along your body by lifting your elbows up and out to the sides. 4. Raise the bar to about upper chest or chin level while keeping elbows higher than your wrists. 5. Pause briefly at the top and squeeze your shoulders and traps. 6. Slowly lower the bar back to the starting position under control.
